GENERAL SCOPE

4140 is a low alloy steel that is commonly used in downhole tools and usually supplied in the hardened and tempered condition at 22 HRC max. As a versatile chromium-molybdendum alloy, it is widely used in automotive, aerospace and oil and gas industries.
